George Eastman House CuratorsAlison Nordström is the Curator of Photographs at George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film in Rochester, New York. Previously the Director and Senior Curator of the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida, she has curated over one hundred photographic exhibitions and is widely published. She has a particular interest in contemporary art that mixes media and disciplines, and in projects that trace the histories of representation. Nordström holds a BA in English Literature, an MLS with museum emphasis, and a PhD in Cultural and Visual Studies. Rick Hock is Director of Exhibitions and Program Design at George Eastman House, International Museum of Photography and Film. He has organized, curated, and designed several major exhibitions including Enhancing the Illusion: The Origins and Progress of Photography, Seeing the Unseen Edgerton: Dr. Harold E. Edgerton and the Wonders of Strobe Alley, The Sports Illustrated Exhibition of American and Soviet Sports Photography, The Pencil of Nature: Photograph’s Trace and Transformation, and Nathan Lyons: A Survey 1957-2000. He taught the History and Fine Art of Photography at The University of Rochester, The Rochester Institute of Technology and the State University of New York, Genesee. He is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships. His photographic work has been exhibited internationally and is included in several major collections including The Museum of Modern Art, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Houston Museum of Art, and The Creative Center for Photography. |
