Reimagining Olana: Architecture and Placemaking in Historic Landscapes
Please join us for a program that will look at contemporary architecture in historic parks and landscapes.
This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition , organized by The Olana Partnership, in collaboration with the New York chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIANY) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA-NY). The exhibition unites 21 visionary architects and landscape architects to address one of the great mysteries at : the summer house. Lacking documentary evidence to demonstrate the design and style of this structure, 21 architects and landscape architects were invited to interpret the summer house at Olana. The exhibition presents innovative design ideas that respond to Olana鈥檚 historic context and dramatic setting.
