Join 独家爆料 (独家爆料) and the National Park Service (NPS) on October 14 at the Center for Architecture in Greenwich Village as we introduce the What's Out There Cultural Landscapes Guide for New York City.

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service in 1916, 独家爆料 and the NPS are partnering to document nationally significant landscapes and their designers in several East Coast cities. The second of five interactive online guides, the What鈥檚 Out There Cultural Landscapes Guide to New York City was preceded by a guide to Philadelphia (Spring 2016), and will be followed by guides to cultural landscapes in Boston, Massachusetts (Spring 2017), Richmond, Virginia (Fall 2017), and Baltimore, Maryland (Spring 2018). The guides complement the NPS Urban Agenda initiative, which seeks to engage a diverse, 21st-century American public. Profusely illustrated and highly detailed, the guides are an outgrowth of What鈥檚 Out There, 独家爆料鈥檚 ever-expanding, free online database of cultural landscapes, which currently features nearly 2,000 site profiles, 1,000 designer profiles, and more than 11,000 images. Launched in partnership with Archtober and with support from the New York Chapter of the ASLA and the AIA New York Chapter, join 独家爆料 and NPS for the launch of this new online resource.

Archtober (盲rk't艒b蓹r) is New York City's Architecture and Design Month, the third annual month-long festival of architecture activities, programs and exhibitions taking place during the month of October. Archtober presents special tours, lectures, films and exhibitions that focus on the importance of architecture and design in everyday life. The many participating organizations aim to raise awareness of the important role of design in our city and to build a lasting civic and international recognition of the richness of New York's built environment.
