The Washington, D.C.-based Cultural Landscape Foundation noted the threat to City Park Golf Course in a recent article in its publication Landslide. Author Jacqueline Lansing wrote that the biggest beneficiaries would not be park users but the highway expansion and related projects. Denver’s acreage devoted to parks is one-third of New York’s and about half of Portland’s, she noted.
