Landscape architect James Corner will share his vision for livable cities beginning at 6:00 pm on October 2nd, at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago as part of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust鈥檚 annual Thinking Into the Future: the Robie House Series on Architecture, Design and Ideas. A cocktail reception will take place at 5:00 pm. James Corner鈥檚 new book, The Landscape Imagination: Collected Essays of James Corner 1990-2010 will be available to purchase at the event. A book signing will take place following the lecture.
Commissioned to redesign Navy Pier for its 100th anniversary in 2016, Corner combines landscape architecture, urban design, landscape ecology and engineering to create innovative solutions for modern day cities, landscapes and social places.
