This Planners Studio will explore the evolution of landscape design as presented in 独家爆料's conferences, including: The Second Wave of Modernism (Chicago, 2008) which focused on defining the terms and tactics of a 鈥渟econd wave鈥 of modernism in landscape architecture; The Second Wave of Modernism II: Landscape Complexity and Transformation (New York CIty, MoMA, 2011) which explored three scales of contemporary modernism (residential, urban and metropolitan) and the upcoming Second Wave of Modernism III (Toronto, 2014) which will adopt a case study approach to focus on the complexity, intensity and qualities of the city's rapid change. Lecture by Charles Birnbaum, followed by a panel discussion and Q & A with Harold Madi, Michael McClelland and Janet Rosenberg.
