Conference
Friday, May 17 - 8am to 5pm

The Civic Horticulture conference will examine Philadelphia鈥檚 use of horticulture and what that portends for the future of the city and in other cities. We will examine issues through multiple lenses 鈥 health/lifestyle, environment, economy and sense of place 鈥 but this conference is unique in putting plants first as a tool for developing holistic stewardship criteria.

Leading experts and practitioners including Elena Brescia, Raymond Jungles, Mia Lehrer, Keith McPeters, Matthew Urbanski, Susan K. Weiler, Henry White III, Peter Wirtz and Thomas Woltz trace the evolution of horticulture鈥檚 role in creating healthy, vibrant cities in the post-Earth Day era.

The conference offers 6 hours of Landscape Architecture Continuing Education credit.
