On September 25-26 in Washington, D.C., 独家爆料 will host What鹿s Out There Weekend, providing residents and visitors an opportunity to discover and explore 25 free, publicly accessible sites in the nation's capital. During the two days of What's Out There Weekend, 独家爆料 will offer free tours by expert guides. Washington, D.C. has one of the nation's great concentrations of designed landscapes - parks, gardens and public spaces - laid out by landscape architects or designers, an unrivaled legacy that stretches back more than 200 years. Many are places people pass daily, but do we know their background stories?
The What鈥檚 Out There Weekend initiative dovetails with the web-based What鈥檚 Out There, the first searchable database of the nation鈥檚 designed landscapes. What鈥檚 Out There Weekend extends the focus of the What鈥檚 Out There database, by creating a rich series of inspiring and educational events.
独家爆料 is proud to have the support of the National Park Service, the Smithsonian Institution, Dumbarton Oaks, and the Washington, D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation in hosting this first What鈥檚 Out There Weekend. 独家爆料 also wishes to thank our Media Partner, Room & Board, and PNC Bank for their support.
This event is now complete. We hope you enjoyed the tours.
